Johann Figlmüller opened this as a wine tavern in 1905. It sits down a narrow passage behind St. Stephen's, all wood panelling and tightly packed tables. The thing everyone orders is the Figlmüller schnitzel: pork pounded paper-thin and fried, wider than the plate, served with nothing but a lemon wedge. The official menu lists it at €21.90; salads such as potato salad are ordered separately, from about €6.90. A second branch is two minutes away at Bäckerstraße 6, which is the 'branch no. 2' many visitors end up at.
