An Atayal mountain village sits within an hour south of the city. The short old street is lined with Indigenous food stalls selling things like wild-boar sausage and bamboo-tube rice, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk. A little trolley then rattles you toward the waterfall in roughly five minutes. Riverside hot springs make the day worth the trip.
