Cross the road after a CKS Memorial Hall walk and you hit this yellow-signed canteen. Finely chopped fatty pork is braised in soy and star anise and spooned over rice; it leads with sweetness and melts into the grains. A 2018 report said it goes through 400 jin of rice a day. Sides include dingbiancuo rice-batter soup, fried tofu and, for the brave, pig-brain soup.
