This century-old garden is a short walk from the Chiang Kai-shek hall. A wooden walkway crosses the lotus pond, and in summer the flowers cover the water. A few Japanese-era buildings still stand in the corners. Entry is free and the big trees give real shade, so it works as a midday escape from the heat.
