The name comes from the eucalyptus oil haze that makes the forest look blue from a distance. Stand at Echo Point and three rock pillars rise in a row above an endless canyon: the Three Sisters. Next door at Scenic World you ride a railway down a 52-degree slope and a glass-floored cable car across the gorge. Many visitors join a guided day tour, either bundled with a wildlife park and lookouts or leaving in the afternoon for sunset and stargazing.
