The Mandai forest holds the zoo, the Night Safari, River Wonders and Bird Paradise. Singapore Zoo is an 'open zoo' that separates animals with moats and landscaping instead of bars, so you see white tigers splashing in the water or orangutans up close. Bird Paradise has you walk inside huge netted aviaries, parrots flying over your head and a flock of flamingos right in front. The most common plan: one of the two by day, the Night Safari after dark, and the whole day spent in Mandai.
