A patch of primary rainforest survives in the middle of the city. The canopy closes overhead so it is dim even at noon, and macaques eye your plastic bags from the roadside. The summit is about 163 metres, so it is no great climb. The main trail runs about 1.2 km, 45 minutes to an hour, rated easy to moderate, with steady slopes and steps.
