Ten minutes by car from downtown, a huge Chinese cemetery lies under jungle. Stone guardians, carved Sikh sentries and tile-trimmed altars pop out of the undergrowth, quietly showing how immigrants lived and died a century ago. Cicadas follow you in. Volunteers run free guided walks on some weekends, which suits a first visit best.
