Near the south end of the East Baray, roughly 11 km east of Siem Reap

A three-tier temple mountain raised in the mid-10th century. Its brick and laterite turn deeper red as the light drops. Climb the steep stairs to the top tier, ringed by five towers, with rice fields and sugar palms below. The summit fills up at sunset but is almost empty at dawn. It's also a short detour from an Angkor Wat sunrise.
