This is the route most people take to the summit crater, Baengnokdam: 9.6km each way, about 4.5 hours up. The first stretch is a gentle forest path. Past the Sara Oreum turn-off the trail changes at Jindallebat Shelter, and the last 2km is steep. The summit needs a booked date and time slot, and if you reach the shelter after the cutoff you are turned around. On a good day you stand at the crater with the clouds lying below you.
