It's the mountain you see from everywhere on the island. From Seongpanak it's 9.6 km one way to Baengnokdam, the summit crater: hours of gentle cedar and bamboo-grass forest, then stone steps after the Jindallaebat shelter. The moment you leave the trees the wind picks up, and from the top you look over the crater lake to the whole island ringed by sea. If the summit is too much, the Yeongsil or Eorimok trails to Witse Oreum give you the high moorland without the full climb.
