The name says lake, but this is a roundabout with a concrete monument in the middle, unveiled in 1969. The bronze turtle that once sat on top is long gone; the nickname stuck. After dark carts set up around the rim and locals perch on the kerb with bowls of rice-paper salad, grilled rice paper or kumquat tea. Cafes on the surrounding corners put you a floor above the motorbike stream. One lap takes ten minutes, so it works as an after-dinner stop.
