Finished in 1891, this mustard-yellow building is still a real post office. Inside, a long hall like an old railway concourse runs under green iron arches, with an 1892 map of Saigon and an old telegraph network map painted on the side walls and a portrait of Ho Chi Minh at the far end. The old phone booths now hold ATMs and an exchange counter, and the souvenir stalls in the middle sell stamps and postcards. Buy a card and post it home on the spot; that's the point of coming.
