The courtyard greets you with US helicopters, tanks and fighter jets. Inside, floor after floor of photographs and records from the war get heavier as you climb, with Agent Orange victims and massacre images on the upper levels; Nick Ut's 1972 'Napalm Girl' photo is here too. The narrative is firmly Vietnam's own, and going in knowing that gives you more to think about, not less. A corner of the yard recreates the 'tiger cage' prison cells.
