A compound run by Suzuhiro, makers of Odawara's famous kamaboko (fish cake steamed on a wooden board). Taste and shop your way through the market hall, or try shaping kamaboko and chikuwa beside a craftsman at the museum. For lunch, Mikura, a lacquered storehouse, serves itawasa (sliced premium Kokin kamaboko with wasabi soy) as a drinking snack and stone-milled soba to finish. It's the first stop on the way into Hakone, so easy to drop in.
