A fishermen's hangout near Togendai port. The owner goes out on the lake himself for wakasagi, Lake Ashi's famous pond smelt, good enough to be presented to the Imperial Household every 1 October. The wakasagi gozen gathers it fried, as tempura, nanban-pickled, butter-sautéed and sweet-simmered on one tray. Rainbow trout and kokanee dishes too.
