Stortorget, the main square, 10 minutes' walk from Malmö Central

Take the train over the Øresund Bridge and you're in Sweden in 40 minutes; while you're on the bridge it's sea on every side and everyone reaches for their phone. In Malmö you can walk between Stortorget with its red town hall, Lilla Torg with its old half-timbered houses, and Malmö Castle by the water. Out on the west harbour, the Turning Torso, a 190-metre tower that twists as it rises, dominates the skyline.
