The black-and-gold corkscrew spire is visible from all over town. The staircase wraps around the outside of it, so the last 150 steps spiral up in the open air, narrowing until there's barely room for one person. It's 400 steps in all and your legs will shake, but the view over Christiania, the canals and the city's spires is often called the best in Copenhagen.
