The roof of a plant that burns rubbish for power now carries an all-season artificial ski slope and a hiking trail. A green-matting run pours down the sloping roof, and if you walk up the path beside it, the café at the top looks over the harbour, the sea and, on a clear day, wind turbines towards Sweden. The roof, trail and lift are free, so it works as a viewpoint even if you don't ski. One side of the building holds what's billed as the world's tallest climbing wall.
