Inside Wenshufang, the old quarter in front of Wenshu Monastery, this three-storey timber inn is stacked with dark wooden balconies (opened 2008, renovated 2021, 35 rooms). It runs on a Buddhist theme: tea sets and Zen touches in every room, and a vegetarian suite. Daytime brings temple-goers and teahouse crowds; nights go quiet. If you want to hear the monastery's morning chanting, it's hard to get closer.
