This is a working temple, more worshippers than sightseers. Incense is handed out free at the gate, and students and parents come in numbers to pray for exam results. Smoke hangs over the courtyards between the halls, and the temple teahouse lets you sip tea to the sound of chanting. Just outside, Wenshufang is a lane of rebuilt old houses, and most visitors stop for a photo at the big 'fu' (good fortune) wall.
