If Chichén Itzá is a lawn, Cobá is jungle. You rent a bike and ride the old Maya stone roads (sacbé) under the trees, or sit in a tricycle taxi while someone else pedals. At the end stands Nohoch Mul, 42 m high and among the tallest pyramids in the Yucatán. On 8 December 2025, after six years closed, it reopened for climbing via a wooden staircase laid over the original steps. From the top it's green forest in every direction.
