A flat island sits right where the Nakdong River empties into the sea. Downtown is close, yet all you see ahead is reeds and wetland. On winter mornings whooper swans and geese drop in, and from the birdwatching hide you can follow the flocks without binoculars. Stop at the Nakdong Estuary Eco Center first for the exhibits and talks, and the same view starts to read differently. The island is big, so plenty of people tour it by bike.
