By day this is a terraced hot-spring palace on the slope of Mount Li, red-pillared halls stepping up around ponds. Emperor Xuanzong and Consort Yang wintered here, and the stone bathing pools left behind are smaller than you'd expect. The real reason to come is after dark, when The Everlasting Regret uses the lake and the whole hillside as its set: a moon rises over the ridge and dancers cross the water. A new staging has been running year-round since February 2026.
