Burano's landmark restaurant, turned into a trattoria by Romano in 1920 and now in its fourth generation. It fills an old lace workshop, and paintings left by a century of artist guests cover every inch of wall. The dish is risotto di gò, made with a small lagoon goby that has become scarce as fewer fishermen go after it.
