Unlike the smoky, crowded Baoan Temple next door, this one burns no incense, and the courtyard stays clear. It is a Minnan-style compound of red pillars and swallowtail roofs, with the main Dacheng Hall to Confucius at the centre. Entry is free, and sitting in the stone courtyard mutes the city. Pair it with Baoan Temple and it fills about an hour.
