- Address
- Climbs leave from 3 Cumberland St, The Rocks. BridgeMuseum (the old Pylon Lookout) is inside the south-east pylon: take the Cumberland St stairs or lift up to the bridge and walk 300 m north
You can walk across the bridge for free, but there are two ways up. One is BridgeClimb: grey jumpsuit, clipped to a cable, up to the top of the arch 134 m above the water. The other is the 200-odd stairs inside the south-east granite pylon, reopened in May 2026 as the BridgeMuseum, with the Opera House and Circular Quay laid out below the top terrace. The climb is expensive but often called the trip's highlight; the pylon gets you a similar angle for about a tenth of the price.
