Address
The hillside district west of the Circular Quay ferry wharves; the weekend market runs along George St, Jack Mundey Place and Playfair St

Circular Quay is where Sydney's ferries all meet, five wharves side by side with the Opera House at one end and the Harbour Bridge at the other. The hill west of the wharves is The Rocks, where the first convict ships landed in 1788; narrow stairways climb between sandstone warehouses and old pubs. On weekends a tented market fills George Street with crafts, hand creams and street food. Ferries to Manly, Taronga and Watsons Bay all leave from here, so you'll pass through most days.
