At the far western end of the MRT map, a long park lies along the edge of a lake. Grass slopes and waterside paths are dotted with cyclists and neighbours on picnic mats, a world away from Marina Bay. Forest Ramble, with its rope bridges and slides under the trees, is where families head first. Entry is free, and when your legs give out the Chinese Garden is a short walk on.
