A small bakery at 28 Huanghe Road, tucked into the corner of the Park Hotel, which opened in 1934. Every day a line forms for hudiesu, butterfly-shaped pastries of butter dough folded over and over before baking. People praise them for being airy rather than hard-crunchy, with only a light sweetness. In September 2026 the weekday-afternoon line still wrapped round the corner onto West Nanjing Road. They're sold by the bag, not singly.
