A bend of Suzhou Creek is lined with an old textile mill now packed with galleries and studios. Wander between buildings that still have their rusty pipes, chimneys and steel-framed windows, and walk into any door that's open. Most cost nothing, and with luck you'll get a few words with an artist at work. The walls came down in 2019, so the lanes now run straight onto the riverside path. The famous graffiti wall along Moganshan Road was mostly demolished in 2017; only fragments remain.
