Not on a tourist lane: you park by the church in a hillside village and walk down the steps. The kitchen mixes Cretan cooking with Santorini produce, so expect baked white aubergine, fava and beef in Vinsanto sauce. Some diners get a little welcome tray of cheese, olives and raki while they wait. Travel guides keep calling it the best food on the island, which is exactly why dinner is always full. No caldera here, just the village falling away to the sea.
