Around 1890 confectioner Paul Fürst wrapped pistachio marzipan in nougat and dipped it in dark chocolate: the Mozartkugel. His version comes in silver foil printed with a blue Mozart portrait. The company says it's still made daily to his handwritten 1915 recipe. Besides the Alter Markt shop there are branches on Mirabellplatz, Getreidegasse and Residenzplatz.
