Address
Northernmost coast of Saipan, at the end of Banzai Cliff Road

The road at the island's northern tip simply stops at the sea, and the cliff falls away straight down. The water here is a darker navy than anywhere else on Saipan, and the surf never lets up against the rocks. In the last days of the 1944 battle, many Japanese civilians leapt from this edge, and the clifftop is now lined with memorials and statues raised by people from several countries. Visitors who come for the view tend to go quiet in front of the stones.
