A 232-metre tower on top of Taiping Hill. Some people reckon the best bit is the cable car up from Zhongshan Park, gliding over the trees with red old-town roofs on one side and the May Fourth Square towers on the other. From the deck you finally see how Qingdao stretches along the coast, and a late-afternoon visit gets you daylight, sunset and city lights in one go. There's a revolving restaurant too.
