An old county seat said to have been walled in the Sui dynasty, rebuilt from 2016 with new walls, gates, a Confucian temple and a City God temple. Pass through a maze of gatehouses and you're into grey-tiled lanes of souvenir shops, cafés and skewer stalls. By day it's a sleepy old town; after dark every eave lights up and the walls get a coloured laser show. It's far out, so some people stay the night at a resort inside the walls.
