One gate off the Malá Strana lanes and the noise just drops. It is free yet quiet, and you can usually get a bench even on a summer afternoon. A grotto wall of dripping, stalactite-like stone fills one side, and the big pond mirrors the statues. White peacocks stroll across the lawns at their own speed. A good break on the walk from Charles Bridge.
