Franz Kafka Museum

Muzeum Franze Kafky

Dark Kafka rooms and the peeing statues out front

Hours
Daily 10:00–18:00
Address
On the Vltava, near the Malá Strana end of Charles Bridge

Two bronze men face each other in the courtyard out front, peeing into a basin shaped like the Czech Republic while their torsos swivel. Inside, the lights are low and so are the voices. Manuscripts, letters and photos sit in dark rooms, and you drift through Kafka's anxious head. It is right by the river, so it slots in neatly beside a Charles Bridge visit.
