An 1896 pastry shop facing the Bolhão market entrance. Old display cases hold dozens of Portuguese cakes and breads, giant meringues and savoury pies. Pick from the counter, sit down, a server takes your drinks order and hands you a barcode card you pay with on the way out. More locals than tourists, low prices, good for breakfast. Some find the pastries just fine, so come for the atmosphere.
