The salty, fishy smell hits the moment you walk in. The shed is lined with wooden vats taller than an adult, where anchovies and salt ferment for close to a year to become fish sauce. Staff give a quick rundown of the process beside the barrels, and there is tasting and a shop by the exit. The smell is strong, and most people are done in 10–20 minutes.
