A literary café on the corner opposite the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The name comes from the two Chinese figurines (magots) perched on a pillar inside. Café de Flore is a minute's walk away, so some people sample both. The hot chocolate arrives in a black china pitcher at about €9, among the priciest in town, and a meal runs roughly €20–40 per person.
