Address
On Rue de Rivoli, 1st arr.; the glass pyramid in Cour Napoléon is the main entrance, the Carrousel entrance is at 99 Rue de Rivoli

Go down under the glass pyramid and the underground hall splits into the Denon, Sully and Richelieu wings. First-timers start with Denon: the Winged Victory looks down from the top of a staircase, and a little further on a half-circle of raised phones marks the Mona Lisa. Reviews keep saying the painting is smaller and the queue longer than expected. Pick five works you really want to see instead of trying to cover everything.
