A brasserie from 1947, when Les Halles was still the city's wholesale market on this spot. Market porters and late revellers came in for onion soup with the cheese spilling over the bowl, and it still opens at 8am and closes at 5am. The name means pig's trotter and the grilled trotter is the signature; one dish breads and fries the tail, ear and snout as well. There's an oyster stand at the door, so plenty of tables order seafood platters.
