A small pond at the foot of the Kofuku-ji steps, a few hundred metres around. The five-storey pagoda rises behind the willows, and when the wind drops in the evening it appears a second time upside down on the water. People sit along the stone steps at dusk. It is a good place to catch your breath before heading into the Naramachi lanes.
