The main house of the miso nikomi udon institution founded in Osu in 1925. Noodles are simmered in dark red miso broth in a single-serve clay pot and arrive still bubbling. They are deliberately firm, almost underdone to the uninitiated; that's the house style. Locals lift noodles onto the pot lid to cool, and many order rice to mop up the broth.
