A giant silver sphere sits on top of the building and you can spot it from the park. Inside are one of the world's biggest planetarium domes, a lab where you stir up your own tornado and lightning, and a deep-freeze room. Most exhibits are hands-on, so with kids the time runs out. It is a good rainy-day stop alongside Shirakawa Park. The planetarium runs in timed shows, so check the schedule before you queue.
