This stroll garden sits on the old estate of the Owari Tokugawa, the family that ruled from Nagoya Castle. A path loops around a large pond past stone bridges, a gorge and a waterfall, and standing at the falls the water drowns out the city completely. Peonies in spring and maples in autumn reflect in the pond, and entry is only ¥300. The Tokugawa Art Museum next door holds the National Treasure Tale of Genji scrolls, so many people pair the two.
