⚠ Tower closed until 2027

Hours

Address
North of the centre, the 1972 Olympic grounds, across the road from BMW Welt

Built for the 1972 Olympics, the park's stadium wears a transparent tent roof of acrylic panels that ripples like a spider's web. Follow the lake, climb the grassy Olympiaberg, and you get the roof, the 290-metre Olympic Tower and, on clear days, the Alps for free. The tower itself is closed for renovation until about early 2027, so for now the hill is the viewpoint. Summer brings open-air shows at the lakeside theatre; winter brings kids sledging down the hill.
