The building with the twisted glass roof is BMW Welt, a free showroom carpeted with new BMWs, Minis, Rolls-Royces and motorbikes. You can sit in most of them, and from the upper walkway you can watch buyers collect their new cars. Cross the footbridge to the silver bowl of the BMW Museum, which is paid: ramps spiral you through a century, from 1920s motorcycles to painted Art Cars and electric concepts. Plenty of visitors say the buildings alone are worth it, car fan or not.
