Animals are grouped by the continent they come from, not by species, so you wander out of Africa and straight into South America. It sits among old trees right beside the Isar, which keeps the air cooler than most zoos. Elephants, polar bears and the tropical house are the family favourites. Even without kids, half a day goes quickly.
